Director of Engineering (Platform)
Bookboost builds hospitality software that helps hotels own the guest journey end-to-end. We’re looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our backend/platform org and raise the bar on delivery, architecture, and engineering culture.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will still get into technical decisions and design reviews, but your main job is to make the team fast, aligned, and proud of what ships.

What you’ll do
- Own execution and engineering outcomes for our backend and platform systems.
- Build a high-functioning team: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance, and career growth.
- Set technical direction with strong, pragmatic architecture.
- Ensure our public APIs (core to our Customer Data Platform) are reliable, secure, and easy to build on.
- Drive scalable integrations with third-party systems on top of Bookboost’s CDP infrastructure.
- Establish strong engineering practices:
- design reviews and technical decision making
- observability, on-call and incident response
- quality, testing, and release discipline
- sane, consistent patterns across services
- Partner tightly with Product and Design to shape work, set boundaries, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Keep delivery predictable without turning the team into a process machine.
